Do you know why birds sing just before dawn? Scientists believe it’s to tell their mates that they made it through the night, as a way of saying, “I’m still here.” Maybe that’s why we sing too, why we create art- as a way of saying, “I made it. I’m still here.” Jeff Goins

I’m still here.
You’re still here.

Maybe that fills you with awe.
Maybe that fills you with exhaustion.
Maybe that fills you with excitement.

Most likely it fills you with a number of emotions.

No matter where you are at in life (inspired, tired, or wired) your *art*- and by that I mean any creative thing you do- is essential. Creativity waters the withering parts of you. It is stardust for your soul. It is food for your imagination. It is nourishment for brittle bones. As a society we are taught to consume, consume, consume. But it is creation that awakens our spirit and reminds us of the power we all carry. We are trained to consume content. Some of that can inspire, but too much makes us sick. We aren’t here to constantly eat up other people’s ideas… our soul knows… we are here to CREATE.
