Storytelling saved my life

It might just save yours

It’s the night before my flight from LA to Vegas.
Vegas.
Where I’ll be dancing in heels until 6am.
Where I will ward off too many groping hands.
Where I will tease and seduce men to come into the champagne room.

How many more times will I do this?!

What started off as cash and creative freedom has become a jail for my soul.
I am so much more than this.

Or am I?

I ask myself this question for the next 8 years.

I could write a thousand reasons for why I danced. #itscomplicated

I danced because the money was so dang delicious.

I danced because I felt stuck.

I danced because it allowed me to pursue my acting dreams.

I danced because I was good at it.

I danced because the mold fit the story I told myself- that I couldn’t be successful at my true desires, which had to do with writing and creating and a vague sense of something more.
